Rumen Inert Fat Supplements
The power of calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids . . . Enertia®, a dry, rumen inert (bypass) fat that has been produced from palm oil distillate by ADM, one of the world’s largest processor of vegetable oils. Calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids . . . .
- A high-energy ingredient that is highly digestible in the small intestine
- Does not interfere with rumen function (fermentation)
- Provides an optimum fatty acid profile
- Produced using proven rumen bypass technology
- Ensures consistent, high-quality due to ADM’s integrated supply chain
- Provides exceptional energy density in lactation diets to support body condition, milk production and reproductive efficiency
Use Enertia for ration fat levels above 5% of dry matter and feed up to 1 lb of Enertia per cow daily to realize potential effects on reproductive performance.
Enertia s/f (standard formula)
- 84% crude fat and 8.4%-10% calcium
- Key fatty acids: palmitic, oleic and linoleic
- Excellent handling properties with Enertia s/f in granular form, which is flowable and mixes well with feed ingredients and is not affected by weather extremes or feed processing conditions
- Enertia s/f is the preferred product for inclusion in a TMR
- Feed Enertia s/f in a diluted form and introduce gradually to cows that are not familiar with the product
- Optimal level of linoleic acid for enhanced reproductive performance
- 0.25 to 1 lb per cow daily
Enertia p/f (pelleted formula)
- 84% crude fat and 8.4%-10% calcium
- Key fatty acids: palmitic, oleic and linoleic
- The preferred form for top‐dress feeding situations
- Pellets readily flow through bins and auguring systems without the caking that may occur with some granular fats
- Optimal level of linoleic acid for enhanced reproductive performance
- 0.25 to 1 lb per cow daily
Enertia r/f (reproductive formula)
- 52% crude fat and 3-4% calcium
- Key fatty acids: palmitic, oleic, linoleic (Omega 6) and linolenic (Omega 3)
- Pellet form is the preferred form for top‐dress feeding situations
- Pellets readily flow through bins and auguring systems without the caking that may occur with some granular fats
- Provides source of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which support hormones that contribute to reproductive success
- Contains fermentation extract as research has shown cows fed fermentation extract had lower somatic cell counts compared with control cows
- Botanical component may help support immunity and body processes
- 1 lb per cow daily
Enertia P95
The high palmitic acid levels in Enertia P95 are more efficiently transferred from the diet into milk fat than any other fatty acid source. - 99% crude fat
- Supplies one of the highest sources of digestible fat available
- Key fatty acid: 95% C16:0 palmitic
- Has similar energy density as other Enertia products
- May enhance milk fat percentage
- Easier to observe a response in the bulk tank and calculate a benefit
- 0.25 to 1 lb per cow daily
